Birchard Medical Center Undergoes Restoration

Birchard Medical Center, located at 418 Birchard Avenue, a Victorian era building which is over 125 years old, will undergo a complete outside restoration with all of the gingerbread trimwork being painted in Victorian colors. The Community Health Services (CHS) Foundation Board, which owns the building and leases it to CHS, recently approved funds for completely re-painting and re-landscaping the entire property. The new look with conform to Fremont's Downtown Historical Preservation commitment.
"We are excited about the new look" said CHS CEO Joe Liszak. "It will add to the character of the neighborhood."

CHS Employee Donate Funds

CHS Employees have recently donated 150.00 to Fremont Police Shop-With-a-Cop and 300.00 in support of the American Cancer Society Pan Ohio Hope Ride. These funds are raised directly from employee donations and fundraisers.

CHS upgrades its Electronic Health Records Systems
|
|
|
Community Health Services will upgrade from its current Misys EMR system to the Allscripts EHR system beginning on September 1st. The new upgrade will enhance speed and accuracy to all patient charts.
In addition, beginning in March of 2011, all of CHS dental charts will become electronic records with the addition of the Detrix electronic dental records system.
